During the summer, I take advantage of nature and use that sand at the beach to exfoliate. I rub it on my body to remove the dead skin, and then rinse it off with the ocean water. The combination of the two leaves my skin soft and clear. That’s about as natural as you can get with skin care. For the other 9 months of the year, I need something else to exfoliate at home.
Monday marked the first day of summer which means it’s time to put away the comfort food recipes and break out the light, crisp vegetable and cool fruit recipes instead. When the warm weather hits I go from craving big, hearty meals to smoothies, a lot of raw vegetables, and fresh fruit.
I am all about this insane riced cauliflower movement. Not so much about the mess it makes. I tried throwing a head of cauliflower into my blender a few years ago and it was a disaster. Although this was pre-owning a vitamix so the outcome would probably be different now, but I just never tried again after that.
