Scrambling for a last minute Halloween costume to get together in the next two days before the weekend?
During the summer, I take advantage of nature and use that sand at the beach to exfoliate. I rub it on my body to remove the dead skin, and then rinse it off with the ocean water. The combination of the two leaves my skin soft and clear. That’s about as natural as you can get with skin care. For the other 9 months of the year, I need something else to exfoliate at home.
Last Saturday, I got engaged (future post on the proposal and all of the details to come…naturally, it was while working out). My fiance (ahhh so much fun to say that), calls me “Luxury Lexie” because I tend to gravitate towards things that are newer, nicer and cleaner. For example, our apartment is a very old building and I’ve been begging him (pretty much since the day we moved in) to upgrade to a newer building. So “Luxury” Lexie is a little extreme, but I do prefer new over old (with anything), simply because it feels cleaner to me. That is why I was SO excited to try the brand new megaformer studio in Jersey City, which ironically happens to be on the first floor of the new “luxury” Cast Iron Loft apartments.
You might have caught the quick snap on my insta story, but this past Tuesday I started helping out with The Path’s Tuesday Night meditation sits. It was beautiful.
I recently checked out Go Stride, a new fitness studio in Port Chester, NY (just opened a few months ago in February), and I absolutely loved it. The manager and instructors were so welcoming and the studio is as clean as could be, very spacious and decorated in bright white and blue colors. I came across the studio because it’s in the same shopping center as Whole Foods, who coincidentally they have a partnership with. If you give the front desk your shopping list, they will food shop for you during class and all you have to do is pick up your groceries at the register in Whole Foods afterwards. Their bathrooms and showers are also stocked with organic and natural products from Whole Foods.
